Welcome to Armidale Care for Seniors Inc.

As a not-for-profit community based organisation, our aim is to assist the older members of the Armidale and surrounding communities to continue living independently in their own home through providing assistance to complete everyday tasks such as shopping or accessing appointments and to continuing to live an active social lifestyle.
Our organisation is overseen by a Management Committee who are local people volunteering their time to ensure the organisation meets community need, adheres to all funding and legislative requirements and remains an organisation of choice within the community.
We believe in giving people back their independence, and as such, approach our services with this as the focus. Wellness and Re-Ablement are key factors to maintaining dignity and continuing to be able to live independently in your own home.

Funding

Staff & Volunteers

Armidale Care for Seniors Inc. is funded by the Federal Government's Department of Health through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to provide contracted services. This funding does not cover the full costs of providing these services, requiring the organisation to ask a 'client contribution' toward the costs of the services provided.

Access to Services provided by Armidale Care for Seniors Inc.

All people wanting to access services are now required to register their need for service with a central gateway 'My Aged Care'.
From this registration process, My Aged Care will organise for a person from a local Regional Assessment Service (RAS) to contact you and complete an assessment of your needs and they will then refer you to the service providers who can help you.
If you want to use any of the services provided by Armidale Care for Seniors Inc., you will need to let the Regional Assessor know that you want to be referred to us and they will put the referral directly to Armidale Care for Seniors Inc.
To make a referral (for yourself or another person) through My Aged Care click here.
Armidale Care for Seniors Inc. has one part-time Senior Coordinator and one part-time Activities Coordinator. The Activities Coordinator organisie and facilitate social activities and events. The Senior Coordinator completes the administration work and coordinates another service type - Individual Support.
Armidale Care for Seniors Inc. has a team of close to 35 volunteers who assist with implementing services organised between the clients and coordinators.
Without this team of dedicated people, we would not be able to provide the quality services we currently do.
